Civil & Islamic Marriage

One celebrant for the legal marriage and the Nikkah, so nothing falls between the two.

A Nikkah ceremony table set with certificates, candles and the couple's welcome sign

Most couples I work with want their marriage recognised under Australian law and solemnised according to Islamic requirements. I can perform both, on the same day as one continuous ceremony or on separate dates, at your home, your venue or a masjid.

As a Commonwealth-registered celebrant I lodge and hold your Notice of Intended Marriage, confirm your identity documents, prepare the certificates and register the marriage after the ceremony. For the Nikkah, I confirm the wali, the witnesses and the mahr with both families beforehand so the ceremony itself is calm and unhurried.

You choose how much of the ceremony is spoken in English and how much in Arabic. I will walk you through the wording well before the day so there are no surprises in front of your guests.
